Do you pet sit animals other than dogs?

Yes! I will gladly care for your furry (and not so furry) friends: dogs, cats, birds, fish, turtles, snakes, hamsters, and other small animals.

Do you walk ALL dogs?

Yes.  Big, small, slobbery, hairy ... they are all wonderful to me.

Is your initial 'Meet & Greet' free?

Yes, the Meet & Greet is free and involves no commitment on your part. Typically takes about 30 min.  Schedule Your Meet & Greet Now!

Is it necessary to have a 'Meet & Greet' before we begin?

Yes. This is the only way to guarantee my services and your pet(s) will be a good match.  It allows me to understand your pets' needs, learn where the essentials are (e.g. leash, food/water, treats) and gives us a chance to get to know each other and go over any questions before we begin.  Together we will establish the perfect care for your pet.

What do you need from me before service can begin?

During the Meet & Greet we will review what services are needed and you will receive some paperwork to complete (e.g. vet information, pet information, emergency contact & a service request form).  In addition I will need a set of keys to be able to access your pets during the scheduled visits, and we're ready to go!

Is there a minimum amount of dog walks that I must order?

My goal is to establish a consistent, long lasting and loving relationship with your dog(s). Ideally, at least 2 walks per week is best, but no ... there are no minimum requirements.

How do I cancel or add a walk or other service?

EMAIL or call me one (1) hr before the scheduled visit.  This gives me time to rearrange my day as needed.  I do not charge cancellation fees.  However; if I do show up for a visit and NO cancellation was given, I will have to charge you for the service.   If you want to ADD an extra visit or walk just let me know & I will fit you in as best I can.

What if my dog doesn't like a leash? 

As it is a city ordinance to have all dogs on leashes when in a public area and for the safety of your pet, I will always have your pet leashed during daily walks.  Poochie Play Day dog park trips are the only exception.  While in the park your dog(s) may go without a leash.  During hikes, leashes do stay on.  All dogs must have visible tags & a current license.

What is your rainy day policy?

I don't mind the rain, but if you prefer NOT to have your dogs walked when it's raining to avoid muddy paws, just let me know ahead of time.

What time will you visit?

You set the schedule.  There is a two hour window for all visits.  This allows me to coordinate your visits with the rest of my day's schedule. (example, you request 12 noon, I will be there between 11-1) For puppies and senior dogs who may need more 'exact' visits, I ask for a 1 hour window.

Do you have insurance?

YES. Doggie's Day-Out is insured through Pet Sitters Associates, LLC.  I am happy to provide a copy of my insurance policy upon request.

How long have you been dog walking / pet sitting? 

Since 2009.  Not including my non-professional years growing up and caring for my own pets of course.

When is Payment Due & How Do You Bill?

During the 'Meet & Greet' we will set up your personalized Service Plan.  For Dog Walking I will invoice you weekly (via email as well as leaving a paper invoice at your home) ... 1st week's payment due on the first visit.  For Pet Sitting, payment is due in full up front.
